CORTEZ, Colo. (Oct. 20, 2026) – Vista Grande Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Cortez, Colo., and The Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Mancos, Colo., are partnering to present a community Haunted House. It will be held from Thurs., Oct. 22 through Sun., Oct. 25; and Thurs., Oct. 29 to Sat., Oct. 31; from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening.
The Haunted House is located at 9340 Road 29.25, Cortez, Colo. The entrance fee is $15 for children and adults, with a portion of proceeds being donated to Montezuma County Senior Services.
The “Community Helping Community” event features a spooky, interactive haunted house experience designed to celebrate the Halloween season. Both skilled nursing homes have spent several months developing the ideas and location for a creative, fun, and scary Haunted House. They are partnering with All Weather Storage in Cortez to host these events.
The majority of the proceeds from the event will benefit Montezuma County Senior Services, which has locations in Cortez, Dolores, and Mancos. The organization provides support and services to help seniors remain independent in their homes and communities. Vista Grande Rehab and The Valley Rehab will match the donated proceeds.

Both Vista Grande and The Valley – “sister” skilled nursing homes – host a variety of community events throughout the year to engage with neighbors and residents in the Cortez and Mancos communities. Popular annual traditions include visits by the Easter Bunny and holiday light displays.
